

Dr. Dickinson went to college at U.C. San Diego where he played intercollegiate baseball and earned his B.S. degree in Human Biology in 1979. He then attended Tulane School of Medicine where he obtained his M.D. degree in 1985. He completed his training in Orthopaedics Surgery at the University of California , San Francisco in 1990.
Dr. Dickinson has been in Private Practice in San Francisco since 1990. He is currently the Board Chairman of Presidio Surgery Center . He is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic surgery at the University of California , San Francisco .
Dr. Dickinson is the Team Orthopaedist for the Oakland A's professional baseball team as well as an orthopaedic consultant to the San Francisco Ballet. His special interests include sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder and hip, along with reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, hip and knee.
