John Belzer, M.D.

Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy, Knee and Shoulder Reconstructive Surgery

John Belzer MD earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his M.D. at Yale University. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of California San Francisco and a fellowship in sports medicine, arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute.

Prior to joining California Pacific Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Dr.Belzer was an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Assistant Director of Sports Medicine at UCSF. His interest is in arthroscopic, reconstructive and replacement surgery of the shoulder, knee and elbow and has presented research on these topics nationally.

Dr.Belzer is the orthopaedic specialist (along with Dr. Dickinson) for the Golden State Warriors Basketball Team, member of the clinical facuIty at UCSF and continues teaching UCSF orthopaedic residents at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He is on the medical staff of California Pacific Medical Center, Davies Medical Center and the Veterans Administration Medical Cente
